Panaji, Goa: Goa has another reason to celebrate as Dr Amit Dias has earned international recognition for his outstanding contributions to medical research and public health. The Goa Medical College faculty member has been ranked among the world’s top 5% scientists in the 2025 SciRank Global Registry, a prestigious assessment of scientific productivity and research impact.
Renowned for his work in dementia, healthy ageing, mental health, diabetes, and public health, Dr Dias has authored and co-authored more than 75 scientific publications that have received over 12,000 citations worldwide. His research has influenced global health policies and contributed to improving healthcare outcomes for communities across the world.
A co-founder of the Dementia Society of Goa and a member of international health initiatives, Dr Dias has played a significant role in advancing research on dementia prevention and elderly care.
