
VERNA: In a recent crackdown on illegal substances, the Verna Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a man hailing from Maharashtra. The accused, identified as Shoheb Mohamad Nadaf, a resident of Haveli in Pune, was booked for the alleged illegal possession of electronic cigarettes. This action highlights the ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to curb the distribution and use of banned vaping devices within the region.
During the inspection, police authorities discovered and confiscated a total of 15 e-cigarettes from Nadaf’s possession. According to the official details provided in the report, the seized contraband holds an approximate market value of ₹40,000. The confiscated items were immediately taken into police custody as material evidence for the case.
Following the seizure, authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter. Law enforcement officials are currently working to ascertain the exact source from which the accused procured the banned devices. Additionally, the ongoing probe aims to determine Nadaf’s primary intent behind possessing the commercial quantity of e-cigarettes.
