Goa’s Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude has been dropped from the state cabinet shortly after he publicly questioned the functioning of the Tribal Welfare Department, which falls under Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. The decision was approved by Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai on the CM’s recommendation.
Gaude referred to the timing of his removal as a “Revolution Day reward,” suggesting that he was sidelined for voicing concerns. He defended his stance, stating that seeking accountability should not be mistaken for rebellion.
