A tragic hit-and-run incident was reported on the Loutolim–Verna Highway after an unidentified pedestrian lost his life after being run over by a vehicle.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was struck by an unidentified vehicle, which fled the scene without stopping or offering assistance. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead.
Maina Curtorim Police have registered a hit-and-run case and launched an investigation to identify the vehicle and the driver involved. Officers are examining the scene, collecting evidence, and reviewing available CCTV footage and witness statements to trace those responsible.
