A man identified as Manish Rathore, originally from Delhi, was taken into custody by Mandrem Police after being found with a significant quantity of suspected cannabis. The arrest took place in the Arambol area following a late-evening raid, during which officers reportedly recovered approximately 869 grams of ganja along with ₹86,800 in cash, believed to be proceeds from illegal activity.
Authorities confirmed that the seizure was made based on credible intelligence, and that the narcotics and cash were taken as evidence. An investigation has been launched to determine the source of the drugs and whether Rathore is linked to a broader supply chain. Further legal action is ongoing under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
