Siolim, Goa – July 2025:
Goa’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) arrested a 32-year-old man, Rajan Settiar from Bengaluru, during a raid in Siolim. Authorities recovered approximately 429.3 grams of suspected charas, valued at around ₹4.3 lakh.
The arrest was made following specific intelligence inputs. Settiar was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway to trace the source and network linked to the drugs. This is part of a broader crackdown by the ANC, which has been actively targeting drug activities in coastal belts and tourist zones like Siolim—areas frequently flagged for narcotics trade.
