A man from the Housing Board area in Sanquelim was arrested after police found that his minor son was driving a car involved in a hit-and-run accident that injured a motorcyclist near the Housing Board junction close to Sanskruti Bhavan. The incident occurred on January 10, when the car allegedly hit the motorcycle and fled the spot. The injured rider was shifted to GMC Bambolim for treatment. CCTV footage later revealed that the Maharashtra-registered electric car was being driven by a juvenile. The father was arrested on January 12 and later released on bail. Further investigation is underway by Bicholim police.
