In a late-night incident on Thursday at Colva Beach, six tourists allegedly entered the sea while intoxicated, ignoring repeated safety warnings issued by lifeguards. According to Drishti Marine, a leading lifesaving agency in Goa, the group was cautioned multiple times about the risks, especially in their condition, but chose to wade into the water regardless.

The situation escalated when one of the individuals reportedly assaulted a police constable after being confronted. Beach marshals quickly stepped in to de-escalate the situation and maintain order. All six tourists were subsequently detained and taken to the police station based on a written complaint. Officials have confirmed that an inquiry is underway, and appropriate legal action will be initiated.
