A 73-year-old man was found dead in a decomposed condition inside his residence at Pale, Velsao, on January 1. The deceased has been identified as Freddy Dias, who was reportedly living alone and was suffering from cancer.
According to police sources, a post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death as hanging. Verna Police have registered the case and are conducting further enquiry to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
