Romeo Lane, a well-known establishment in Vagator, has once again come under scrutiny for allegedly continuing construction activities despite multiple demolition orders and interventions by the High Court. Locals claim that the bar has been repeatedly flouting Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) norms by rebuilding structures that were previously ordered to be Demolished.
Despite clear directives, the authorities are being accused of inaction, allowing the illegal structures to re-emerge soon after demolition. Environmental activists and nearby residents have raised serious concerns over the lack of enforcement and the repeated violations, questioning whether vested interests are shielding the business.
