
A mobile store near the KTC bus stand at Vaddem, Vasco was reportedly burgled in the early hours, resulting in the theft of 12 iPhones and one MI tablet valued collectively at ₹8.40 lakh.
According to police sources, the unidentified thief gained entry by cutting the lock and opening the shutter of the store before fleeing with the high-value gadgets. The incident has sparked concern among local shop owners, prompting calls for increased night patrols in the area.
A formal complaint has been registered, and the Vasco Police have launched an investigation to trace the culprit and recover the stolen items. CCTV footage from nearby establishments is being examined to identify possible leads.
