The Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC) has announced a major recruitment drive for 2026, releasing a notification to fill 722 Group ‘C’ vacancies across multiple government departments. The recruitment exercise, officially released under Advertisement No. 2 of Year 2026, primarily includes key positions within the state’s police and forest departments. This announcement serves as a significant employment opportunity for youth seeking government service roles in Goa.

Prospective candidates can submit their applications starting February 20, 2026, with the deadline strictly set for March 13, 2026. The GSSC has mandated that all applications must be completed online exclusively through the official commission portal. The comprehensive selection process for these posts will typically involve a written test, a physical efficiency test, document verification, and a medical examination.

The 722 vacancies encompass a diverse range of roles, including hundreds of Police Constables (Male, Female, and Armed), Police Constable Drivers, Range Forest Officers, and Wardens, among others. Applicants are strongly advised to carefully review the detailed eligibility criteria before applying, as requirements vary by post. Generally, the educational qualifications require a minimum of a 10th or 12th-grade pass from a recognized board, with age limits often falling between 18 and 28 years, subject to government-approved category relaxations.
