The Goa government has finalized plans to equip 383 government-owned structures with solar power systems as part of its green energy initiative. The buildings identified include hospitals, police stations, fire stations, educational institutions, and administrative offices.

According to officials, the tender for the project has already been awarded, and installation work is scheduled to begin after the monsoon season. The move is aimed at reducing the state’s carbon footprint and promoting renewable energy use across essential public service buildings. The project is expected to significantly cut down on government electricity bills and serve as a model for sustainable infrastructure in the state.
