A fatal collision between two scooters at Betora Junction on Thursday evening claimed the lives of two young riders and left two others critically injured. The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Isha Gawas from Sattari and 21-year-old Aditya Dessai from Betora. Both reportedly succumbed to injuries on the spot.
According to initial reports, the crash occurred when one scooter was allegedly traveling on the wrong side of the road, resulting in a direct impact. Emergency personnel arrived promptly at the scene, and the injured were immediately shifted to Goa Medical College in Bambolim for treatment.
