Datta Prasad, a member of the Goa Liquor Traders Association, has made serious allegations against Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, claiming he facilitated the issuance of two liquor licenses at Mopa Airport (GOX) to BCCI’s New Joint-Secretary, Rohan Desai. In a viral video byte, Prasad alleges the licenses were issued in the names of Desai’s wife and father and subsequently subleased to a North Indian firm, raising concerns about misuse and favouritism. Prasad stated, “CM Sawant has gone out of his way to grant two liquor licenses to Rohan Desai, one in his wife’s name and another in his father’s name. These have been illegally subleased to a third party, sidelining local traders.”

The accusations have stirred controversy, with local traders demanding a probe into the licensing process. As of now, neither CM Sawant’s office nor Rohan Desai has responded to the allegations.
