Traffic police in Panaji have launched a strict enforcement drive against illegal parking near the Income Tax office in the Patto area, issuing challans to vehicles parked in designated no-parking zones. The move comes in response to growing traffic congestion in this high-traffic zone. However, despite the action against violators, a non-operational Kadamba electric bus left parked on the same road continues to worsen the situation. The stranded bus is occupying a key section of the road, further slowing down vehicle movement during peak hours.
Authorities have acknowledged the problem and are expected to initiate steps to remove the bus. Meanwhile, motorists are being urged to follow parking guidelines to ensure smooth flow of traffic through the area.
