Disqualified Ex-Sarpanch’s Wife Elected Unopposed

Arpora: In a significant development in the Arpora–Nagoa Village Panchayat by-election, the wife of former Sarpanch Roshan Redkar has been elected unopposed, marking an uncontested victory in the ward.

The by-election concluded without the need for polling after no other candidate filed a valid nomination against her, resulting in her being declared elected unopposed by the election authorities.

The uncontested outcome has sparked discussions among local residents and political observers regarding leadership continuity and the level of community support enjoyed by the Redkar family. Many view the result as a reflection of the confidence reposed in the family’s leadership and their continued influence in local governance.

The vacancy had necessitated a by-election to fill the seat in the village panchayat. With the unopposed election now confirmed, the newly elected member is expected to participate in the functioning of the panchayat and contribute to addressing civic issues and development initiatives in the ward.

While the result has generated considerable interest in the local political landscape, attention will now shift to the new panchayat member’s role in representing the ward and carrying forward developmental priorities for the benefit of residents.
