RGP Dissolves All Block Committees Ahead Of Elections

The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has dissolved all of its Block Committees with immediate effect, signaling an internal organizational reset as the party gears up for the upcoming elections in Goa.

In a move that points to fresh political preparations, the party said new block-level committees will be constituted soon. The decision appears aimed at restructuring the organization at the grassroots level and strengthening its internal machinery ahead of the next electoral contest in the state.

Block Committees play a crucial role in coordinating party work at the local level, mobilizing workers, and maintaining outreach with voters across constituencies. By dissolving the existing committees, the RGP has indicated that it wants to rebuild its local structure, possibly with a renewed strategy and revised leadership teams to better align with its election plans.

The announcement comes at a time when political parties in Goa are beginning to sharpen their organizational focus and prepare for the battles ahead. For the RGP, which has positioned itself as a regional force with a strong local identity, the reconstitution of block committees could be an important step in energizing the cadre and expanding its ground presence.

With new committees expected to be announced in the coming days, the development is likely to be watched closely within Goa’s political circles, as it may offer clues about the RGP’s broader strategy and priorities heading into the elections.
