The young midfielder first caught the attention of scouts nearly eight years ago while playing for the Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) academy. His standout performances in the 2018–19 AIFF Junior League led to further opportunities with Indian Arrows and later Bengaluru FC.

FC Goa’s management expressed that Patre’s technical quality, vision, and ability to control the midfield make him a perfect fit for their footballing philosophy. After his contract with Bengaluru FC concluded in May 2025, the club moved swiftly to add him to their roster for the upcoming campaign.

Patre’s signing adds further depth to the Gaurs’ midfield as they prepare for a competitive ISL season, with fans hopeful about the impact of a local talent returning to represent Goa on the big stage.
