Verna Police have registered a case following a complaint filed by the father of a minor girl from Velsao, Mormugao. The girl, originally from Bihar, reportedly went missing on January 1, 2026.
According to the complaint, the minor left her residence at around 3:00 PM and failed to return home. After making several attempts to trace her whereabouts, the father expressed suspicion that an unknown person may have kidnapped the minor from his lawful guardianship.
Based on the complaint, Verna Police have taken cognisance of the matter and initiated legal proceedings. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Rajdatt Arsekar of Verna Police Station.
Police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information that may assist in tracing the missing minor girl.
