The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Arpita Vengurlekar as the new President of the Mormugao BJP Mahila Morcha, marking the beginning of a new leadership chapter for the party’s women’s wing in the constituency.
The announcement was made during a party function attended by senior BJP leaders, office-bearers, and local representatives. Along with Vengurlekar’s appointment, the new Mahila Morcha committee for Mormugao was also officially unveiled.
Party leaders congratulated the newly appointed president and committee members, expressing confidence that the team would strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level and further enhance women’s participation in the party’s activities.
Addressing those present, BJP leaders emphasized the crucial role of the Mahila Morcha in community outreach, public engagement, and implementing initiatives focused on women’s empowerment and social development. They encouraged the new office-bearers to work closely with local communities and contribute to the party’s organisational growth.
Arpita Vengurlekar thanked the party leadership for reposing faith in her and pledged to work diligently alongside the newly formed committee to strengthen the Mahila Morcha in Mormugao and address issues concerning women and the local community.
The appointment comes as the BJP continues to expand and strengthen its organisational structure across Goa in preparation for future political and community outreach initiatives.
