North Goa: Residents of Tiswadi Taluka and parts of Ponda Taluka are advised to prepare for a temporary disruption in water supply on May 13 and 14, 2026, due to urgent pipeline interconnection work being undertaken in Panaji.
According to the Public Works Department (PWD), the scheduled work is essential to strengthen and improve the region’s water distribution network. During the maintenance period, water supply will remain restricted in several areas, and consumers are advised to store adequate water in advance to minimise inconvenience.
The affected areas include Tiswadi Taluka, Defence Establishments, Goa Medical College (GMC), Keri, Savoi-Verem, and Madkai. Residents, institutions, and commercial establishments in these localities are requested to use water judiciously until normal supply is restored.
Authorities have assured the public that every effort will be made to complete the pipeline interconnection work within the scheduled timeframe and resume regular water supply as early as possible. Consumers are urged to cooperate with the maintenance work, which is aimed at improving the long-term reliability and efficiency of the water supply system.
Further updates will be issued by the concerned department if there are any changes to the restoration schedule.
