INS Hansa will carry out small arms firing practice at the Cavelossim Beach range on May 14 and May 29, 2026, as part of scheduled training exercises.
Authorities have declared a 2-kilometre seaward danger zone during the exercise period as a precautionary measure to ensure safety. Fishing activities and the movement of recreational boats will be strictly restricted within the designated area during the specified timings.
Residents and fishermen have been advised to adhere to the safety instructions and avoid entering the restricted zone. Officials have also urged the public not to panic, stating that the exercise is routine and conducted under strict safety protocols.
The Navy has reiterated that all necessary precautions will be taken to prevent any risk to civilian life or property during the drills.
