GSSC Recruitment to Continue, Says CM Sawant

The Goa government has reiterated its commitment to strengthening the Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC), with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant affirming that recruitments through the commission will continue to ensure a transparent, fair, and merit-based selection process for government jobs across the state.

Speaking on the issue, the Chief Minister said the government remains fully committed to conducting recruitments through the GSSC, which was established to bring greater transparency, efficiency, and credibility to the hiring process for various government departments.

CM Sawant emphasized that the commission has played a significant role in streamlining recruitment procedures by ensuring that appointments are made purely on merit. He stated that the government has no plans to deviate from this system and will continue to strengthen the commission to provide equal opportunities to deserving candidates.

The Chief Minister further noted that the state government is focused on filling vacancies in a systematic manner while maintaining the highest standards of transparency and accountability. He said recruitments carried out through the GSSC help eliminate irregularities and reinforce public confidence in the selection process.

The assurance comes amid ongoing discussions regarding government recruitment in Goa, with many aspiring candidates seeking clarity on future hiring processes. The government maintained that the GSSC will remain the primary mechanism for conducting recruitments, ensuring that eligible candidates are selected through a fair and competitive process.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to good governance, CM Sawant said transparent and merit-based recruitment remains a key priority, adding that the GSSC will continue to play a central role in building an efficient and accountable public administration in Goa.
