Members of the Gomantak Bandhari Samaj staged a one-day peaceful protest at Azad Maidan in Panaji, demanding immediate justice and the resolution of the community’s long-pending grievances. Holding placards and raising slogans, the protesters urged the state government to act swiftly on issues affecting the Bandhari community.
The demonstrators expressed concern over what they described as prolonged delays in addressing their demands. Carrying banners with messages such as “No More Delays, Justice for Bandhari Samaj,” participants appealed to the authorities to take prompt and decisive action to resolve the pending issues.
Community leaders said the protest was conducted peacefully and in a democratic manner to draw the government’s attention to their concerns. They reiterated that the Bandhari Samaj would continue to pursue lawful means until justice is delivered and their demands are addressed.
The demonstration concluded without any untoward incidents. Protesters expressed hope that the government would engage with the community and take concrete steps to resolve the issues at the earliest.
