Taleigao Police have arrested Ravina Suresh Sanune in connection with a house break-in and theft reported in the locality. The arrest was made following an investigation into a complaint lodged by the homeowner regarding the theft of valuables from the residence.
According to police, the accused allegedly broke into the house and decamped with cash, jewellery, and other valuables. Acting on technical evidence and leads gathered during the investigation, officers identified and apprehended Sanune. Police are also working to recover the stolen property.
A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Investigators are examining whether she was involved in similar theft cases reported in Taleigao or nearby areas and whether any accomplices were involved in the crime.
The accused has been produced before the court for further legal proceedings, while the investigation remains ongoing. Police have appealed to residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help prevent property-related offences.
