Mangalsutra snatching reported at Quepem: Case registered

The Quepem police have officially registered a First Information Report (FIR) following a brazen daylight robbery in Xeldem, Quepem. The incident involved the targeted theft of a traditional gold mangalsutra along with a substantial sum of cash from an unsuspecting complainant. Local authorities were alerted immediately after the incident occurred, prompting swift deployment to the crime scene.

According to official police reports, the crime was allegedly executed by two unknown persons who intercepted the victim. The perpetrators managed to forcefully snatch the valuable gold ornament and flee with cash amounting to ₹1,90,012. The brazen nature of the crime in a residential area has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising immediate concerns regarding public safety.

In the wake of the incident, the Quepem police have launched a comprehensive investigation to track down the suspects. Law enforcement officials are currently scouring local security footage and interviewing potential witnesses who may have been present in the vicinity of Xeldem when the crime took place.

Efforts are actively ongoing to identify, trace, and apprehend the accused individuals. The police have also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or individuals matching the descriptions collected during the preliminary inquiry.
