Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant visited the world-renowned Yas Marina Formula 1 Circuit in Abu Dhabi during his official trip to Dubai, describing the facility as “truly world-class” and a benchmark for global sports infrastructure. The visit underscored Goa’s growing ambition to develop international-standard venues and strengthen its presence in global sporting events.
During the visit, the Chief Minister toured the circuit’s advanced facilities, including its racing track, control center, and hospitality zones. He praised the meticulous planning and technological sophistication that make Yas Marina one of the most iconic motorsport venues in the world.
Dr. Sawant emphasized that Goa, with its vibrant tourism industry and youthful population, has immense potential to host international sporting events. “Goa must aim to create infrastructure that meets global standards. Sports tourism can become a major contributor to our economy,” he said.
The Yas Marina Circuit, home to the prestigious Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, is known for its cutting-edge design and sustainability initiatives. The CM’s visit was aimed at studying best practices that could be replicated in Goa’s upcoming sports and event infrastructure projects.
