A 70-year-old woman, identified as Bibijan Udkeri, was found dead near Avchitwado in Madel, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident.
According to preliminary information, authorities suspect that the woman may have drowned in the river near Lala Ki Basti. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and carried out the necessary inquest and scene-of-offence formalities.
The body has been shifted for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death. Police have stated that investigations are ongoing, and further action will be taken based on the findings of the post-mortem report and the enquiry.
Officials have not ruled out any possibility at this stage, and the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are being thoroughly investigated.
