Drishti Lifesavers Rush to Aid 7-year-old at Colva, Conduct Multiple Rescues Across Coast

Drishti Marine lifesavers responded swiftly after a seven-year-old boy raised an alarm following a stray dog attack at Colva Beach. The child suffered a bite injury to his leg and immediately sought help from the nearby lifeguard tower. Lifesavers administered first aid at the scene before reuniting the child with his family and advising them to seek further medical treatment, including the necessary post-bite care.

The dog attack was one of several incidents handled by Drishti Marine personnel on the same day as lifeguards remained on high alert across Goa’s coastline.

In addition to assisting the injured child, lifesavers successfully carried out three single rescues and one double rescue, preventing potential drowning incidents at various beaches. They also responded to two separate medical emergencies, providing timely assistance to beachgoers in need.

Meanwhile, at Baga Beach, Drishti Marine personnel successfully located a missing child and safely reunited the youngster with family members, bringing a potentially distressing situation to a safe conclusion.

The day’s operations highlight the critical role played by Drishti Marine lifesavers in safeguarding residents and tourists visiting Goa’s beaches. Authorities continue to urge beachgoers to remain vigilant, follow safety advisories, swim only in designated areas under lifeguard supervision, and report any emergency immediately to the nearest lifeguard.
