A 43-year-old man, identified as Mukund Sarnaik, a resident of Karanjal, lost his life in a tragic road accident near Bhoma Panchayat after a collision between a scooter and a motorcycle.
According to police, the impact of the collision was severe, and Sarnaik succumbed to his injuries at the scene before medical assistance could arrive. The body was later shifted for post-mortem examination after the completion of the necessary legal formalities.
Police visited the accident site, conducted a panchanama, and have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the collision. Further enquiries are underway, and appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
The incident has once again highlighted the importance of road safety and cautious driving to prevent fatal accidents on Goa’s roads.
