Goa Welcomes Season’s First Charter Flight from Poland

Goa marked a significant milestone in its tourism season with the arrival of the first international charter flight from Katowice, Poland, at Manohar International Airport (Mopa). The flight, ENT 1443, landed with 189 passengers on board, underscoring the state’s growing appeal among European travellers.

The arrival was welcomed by tourism officials as part of Goa’s continued efforts to strengthen international connectivity and expand its presence in key overseas markets. The charter service is expected to boost tourist arrivals during the peak travel season and contribute to the local hospitality and tourism industries.

Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte described Poland as an important and emerging source market for Goa, highlighting the government’s focus on promoting the state as a quality, year-round destination. He noted that enhanced air connectivity through Manohar International Airport is helping attract more international visitors while diversifying Goa’s tourism base.

Industry stakeholders have welcomed the development, expressing optimism that the launch of additional charter services from Europe will benefit hotels, restaurants, transport operators, and local businesses across the state.

With increasing international interest and improved connectivity, Goa continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s leading global tourism destinations.
