A car break-in was reported near the SGPDA Market in Fatorda between the night of December 31 and the early hours of January 1, with valuables worth approximately ₹90,000 stolen from the vehicle.
According to police, unidentified persons broke into the parked car and decamped with a laptop, ₹5,000 in cash, and important documents. The total value of the stolen property has been estimated at around ₹90,000.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the theft. Officers are examining available evidence and reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area as part of the probe.
Authorities have urged vehicle owners to avoid leaving valuables inside parked vehicles and to remain vigilant, especially during late-night hours.
